Ex ante supervision
Proactive supervision applied to essential entities, without needing any indication of non-compliance.
It includes on-site inspections, off-site supervision, random checks, targeted security audits, security scans and requests for information. Contrast ex post supervision under article 33, which applies to important entities and is triggered by evidence of a problem.
